Brain Implants, 2017
Kernel is building advanced neural interfaces to treat disease, illuminate the mechanisms of intelligence, and extend cognition.
During my internship, I implemented wafer design algorithms, designed photolithography masks, trained on and operated microfabrication equipment, and performed SEM work on device samples. I also researched the neurotechnology market, bio-compatible materials, and mechanical testing processes.
When I joined, a co-working laboratory space was needed immediately. I researched Cambridge/Boston co-working lab spaces and interviewed potential locations, one of which was selected.
